A Lockdown Diary
This experimental documentary is treating the global pandemic of the 2020-2021 and ensuing lockdown in the Northeast of the United States from a very personal and literally very narrow approach.
The stage is a small residential street in Northern New Jersey.
The invisible “He” is the silent narrator and protagonist in the film. Both He and his wife in their sixties. She works from home. He is a documentary filmmaker with a number of projects stalled due to the pandemic.
Every day He makes coffee and faithfully shoots half-a-dozen video clips from the balcony of their second floor apartment.
Of all the clips we will select just one per day.
365 shots for the 365 pandemic days.
Partial funding has been made possible by
the Puffin Foundation.
